Motorsport Update
November 2022
It’s been like a home-straight traffic jam for Mackersy Property's Motorsport sponsorships with the South Island Endurance Series and National Endurance Champs taking place in the last few months.
Mid-October saw our CEO, Hamish Wilton and his Wilton Bros Racing team head to Levels International Raceway in Timaru. Hamish managed a personal best finish of the season with 10th place overall in a quality field of Porsche GT3 cup cars, McLarens and GT machinery.
From there, Wilton Bros Racing, along with Tim Mackersy's Mackersy Motorsport team, headed back to Central Otago for the National Endurance Championships at Highlands Motorsport Park. With some tough competition from both the North and South Islands, Tim Mackersy placed second and Hamish was delighted to finish 7th - a high point of the season for both teams!
These races completed the SIERDC and NZ Championship Series for 2022. For now, the cars are parked up awaiting some love before some short sprint racing at Highlands in the New Year.
